Derzeit sehr beliebt in der Mode. Die Faser hat lang anhaltende Vorteile und ist außerdem leicht, weich und sehr bequem. Kein Wunder, dass CHPTR-S dies für die AW20-Saison verwendet. Wir bringen Sie in die Tiefe:
Tencel ist der Markenname der Faser-Lyocell. Der Stoff besteht aus Holz, meist aus Eukalyptusbäumen. Der Stoff ist im nassen Zustand steif, wird aber beim Trocknen weich, bequem, stark und geschmeidig. Halbsynthetische Materialien wie dieses haben eine natürliche Quelle, benötigen jedoch ein Verfahren, um sie in eine Faser umzuwandeln, die für Kleidung verwendet werden kann. Andere halbsynthetische Stoffe wie Lycocell sind beispielsweise Rayon (Viskose) und Modal, aber Tencel wird viel nachhaltiger hergestellt.
Leistungen
Jährlich werden fast 70 Millionen Bäume gefällt, um Holzfasern herzustellen. Davon stammt fast ein Drittel von gefährdeten Baumarten. Tencel wird aus dem Holzzellstoff von Eukalyptusbäumen hergestellt, die ein viel nachhaltigeres Leben haben. Im Vergleich zu Baumwolle benötigen diese Bäume zum Beispiel viel weniger Dünger und Pestizide, um zu wachsen. Darüber hinaus verbrauchen Eukalyptusbäume 80% weniger Wasser als Baumwolle. Die Bäume benötigen kein Bewässerungssystem und das Wasser wird recycelt: ein sogenanntes „Closed-Loop-System“. Dieses System stellt sicher, dass Chemikalien gesammelt und wiederverwendet werden, anstatt in die Umwelt zu gelangen. Tencel wird chlorfrei hergestellt und ist somit vollständig biologisch abbaubar. Wo immer es landet, kann die Natur es selbst abbauen.

- Es ist stark, aber so weich wie Leinen.
- Es ist wasserabsorbierend.
- Es trocknet viel schneller.
- Es lüftet gut, hält Sie also im Winter warm und im Sommer kühl.
- Es riecht immer gut; Untersuchungen zeigen, dass das Bakterienwachstum in synthetischen Substanzen 2000-mal schneller ist als in Tencel.
